.demonology: Aeron and Tremolo

<sub>Name: Aerten (Aeron for short) Lamont
Age: 12
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Personality: Curious, optimistic, energetic, and shy. Dislikes being center of attention unless entertaining. Loves to help everyone and anyone, and will usually agree to help before knowing what she’s helping with. Street smart, but not very ‘smart’ smart. Can be a bit annoying and somewhat klutzy at times. Has no fear towards others demons, rather, is very interested in them.
History: Born in Scotland, Aeron’s (pronounced like Aaron) father left her mother shortly after she was born, learning his wife was an occultist and witch. Luckily, her mother found a place pretending to be a fortune teller in a travelling troupe, so Aeron was raised surrounded by entertainers. Naturally she wished to join the troupe as she got older, and started making appearances in it as young as six playing music and singing.
Her mother, influenced by her love of demons, would often tell ‘fairy tales’ to her daughter based on ancient myths, instead of normal bed time stories. One that particularly interested Aeron was of a man who lived in water, and played a violin so sweetly it captivated people and nature alike. After hearing the Fossegrim could teach his talent to others, the young, naïve, music loving 9-year-old decided to try and meet one, ignoring the tales that he played his violin to lure and drown people. Learning enough from her mother in bits of her stories, she snuck of to the nearest lake one night to summon one. There she met Tremolo, who, after some persuasion, agreed to sign a contract and become Aeron’s teacher.
Aeron managed to keep Tremolo a secret for awhile (under her impressed mother’s instruction), but soon incidents and the notice of Aeron’s hypnotizing musical skill, the troupe discovered the demon, as well as the magical skill’s Aeron’s mother had tried to keep secret. Labeling the both of them evil heretics they chased them out. Aeron managed to escape but her mother was killed by the enraged troupe. From then to the present, she’s traveled the streets of England and survived by entertaining others with her pan pipes, and pretending to be a boy rather then girl (as she noticed they seemed to have it ‘easier’ in many respects on the street, as well as to hide from the troupe should they see her again).
Weapon: Her pan flute; due to Tremolo’s mystical instruction, she is able to stop people in there tracks when she plays music. Then it’s ‘run away’ or ‘Tremolo, beat ‘em up’ time

Name: Tremolo (His name; Tremolo’s species is a known as a Näcken or Fossegrim. Also, somewhat important fact is Tremolo isn’t his real name, rather one Aeron gave him. He refuses to give his real name as if his name is called when he lures people to drown, he dies)

Personality: Serious, quiet and a bit introverted. Not much for conversation, however, he’s polite. Protective and more talkative to his conjurer, he likes the girl but is somewhat reserved toward her, and acts more as an older brother to her now that she’s on her own. Not mad often, but when he is, you’ll know.
History: “At the lake of Fagertärn, there was once a poor fisherman who had a beautiful daughter. The small lake gave little fish and the fisherman had difficulties providing for his little family. One day, as the fisherman was fishing in his little dugout of oak, he met the Fossegrim, who offered him great catches of fish on the condition that the fisherman gave him his beautiful daughter the day she was eighteen years old. The desperate fisherman agreed and promised the Fossegrim his daughter. The day the girl was eighteen she went down to the shore to meet the Fossegrim. The Fossegrim gladly asked her to walk down to his watery abode, but the girl took forth a knife and said that he would never have her alive, then stuck the knife into her heart and fell down into the lake, dead. Then, her blood coloured the water lilies red, and from that day the water lilies of some of the lake's forests are red (Karlsson 1970:86).”
Filled with despair, the Fossegrim left, travelling from lake to lake, with screams of the drowning in his wake. One day a young girl summoned him, of her own volition, and despite promising not to anymore, he made a contract with her, with similar conditions that on her 18th birthday, she belongs to him. She agreed without thinking, and he worries that this contract will end the same bloody way as his last one.
Weapons: He can use his powers to transform his Violin into a bow. However, he dislikes doing this as he says it makes his Violin sound wrong and go off-tune. Because of this he’s not the best of shots.
Special powers: Tremolo can shape shift like all demons, into the Brook Horse. In this form he’s very agile; however, all that ride him are unable to get off until he drowns them, so he warns Aeron not to. Being a water spirit, Tremolo has control over water (duh). Also, as the myths say, Tremolo can hypnotize and control people and animals with his music. His music can also affect nature in some ways as well. He also has the power to make red water lilies (o.O). All his powers are weakened the further away he is from a body of water.
Also, being a demon spirit rather then a prince or general, he leads no legions of hell like many of the others.

Fun facts: There are 2 main ways Aeron summons Tremolo. She either drips 3 drops of her blood in water or throws some snuff into it (Tremolo smokes a pipe, ya know ^^). She has a small jar of water in her pouch for such purposes.
Also, it’s not too obvious probably, but Tremolo’s Violin is supposed to be make of a glass-like substance, hence it being see-through.</sub>

Anyhow, lotsa experimenting, lotsa refs etc. Already bored you guys with a ton of info so I won’t say much more ^^
